Original language is a catalog clue
GoStream’s language labels describe productions. They do not list every audio track held by every viewing service. A Malayalam film can have a Hindi dub on one edition and different subtitles on another. Use language pages to find the production, then check the destination for the version you want.
VF, VOST and CC
In French-language browsing, VF commonly indicates a French-language version, while VOST indicates an original-language version with subtitles. The subtitle language may be stated more specifically. CC refers to closed captions, which can include sounds and speaker information beyond dialogue. Read the particular service’s labels because its options are what you will actually select.
Make captions readable
On a television, try the settings from your normal seat. Larger text, a stronger outline or a background panel may help when images are dark or busy. If customization is unavailable in one application, check the service’s supported device options rather than assuming GoStream controls the caption appearance.
When timing is wrong
First confirm the correct film and edition. Different cuts can have different timing. Reload the provider player or choose another included subtitle track where available. A GoStream list backup does not contain subtitle files, and this page does not distribute replacement caption downloads.
