Start with the clue you trust
If you remember a title, search it first without extra filters. If you remember an actor, select Starcast. If you remember the filmmaker, select Director. Those choices prevent a word from being treated as the wrong kind of clue. Once a likely match appears, open its page and compare the year, cast and short description.
Taxi is not one result
Taxi (1998) is the French film directed by Gérard Pirès. Taxi (2004) stars Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon. Taxi (1978) is a television comedy. GoStream keeps all three separate. Select Movies or Series, then use the release year to reduce the ambiguity. A shared title does not make a shared season list or viewing destination.
The Office and Avatar
The British Office began in 2001, while the American series began in 2005. Avatar: The Last Airbender also has a 2005 animated series and a 2024 live-action adaptation. James Cameron’s Avatar films are another production entirely. Use the written year and format, not only a familiar face or color on the poster.
When nothing matches
Reset the filters, remove uncertain words and try the most distinctive part of the name. Original and alternate titles can differ across countries. If you still cannot find the film, keep its director, year and principal cast together for the next search rather than replacing it with a result that only shares one word.
